In the Solomyansky district of Kyiv, search operations continued throughout the night at the site of the Russian strike on a 9-story building.

“As of 07:00, the bodies of 5 more deceased people have been unblocked from under the rubble of a partially destroyed nine-story building,” the report says.

According to the State Emergency Service, a total of 16 bodies were recovered from the specified address. The work is ongoing.

” A total of 21 people died and 134 people were injured in the capital ,” rescuers added.

As of 8:10 a.m., the State Emergency Service reported that the body of another deceased person (male) had been recovered from the rubble of a partially destroyed nine-story building . Thus, the number of victims in the capital has increased to 22.

A total of 17 bodies were recovered from the specified address.

The work is ongoing.

Later, the head of the KMVA, Timur Tkachenko, reported that the number of victims in the house in the Solomyansky district had increased to 18.

“Rescuers have unblocked the body of a woman from under the rubble,” he said. Thus, the number of victims in the capital has increased to 23.

Update to 10.38

As of 10:38, according to the State Emergency Service, the death toll from the Russian strike on a 9-story building in the Solomyanskyi district has increased to 19 people – another body was removed from under the rubble.

“In total, 24 people died in the capital after the Russian attack on the night of June 17, and another 134 were injured,” the rescuers specified.

Update at 11.50

As reported in the Telegram channel by the head of the KMVA, Timur Tkachenko, as of 11:50 a.m., rescuers found the bodies of two more people.

“20 Kyiv residents died as a result of a Russian missile strike in the Solomyanskyi district. Search and rescue operations are not yet complete,” he wrote.

“Only now, rescuers discovered another, 21st, body while clearing the rubble,” he added.

Thus, the number of victims in the capital has increased to 26.

Attack on Ukraine on the night of June 17

On the night of June 17, 2025, the Russian occupiers launched a massive strike on Kyiv with drones and missiles of various types. As a result of the enemy shelling, 15 people were reported dead and over 100 injured. Later, Klitschko announced the confirmation of 10 dead, however, by the end of the day on June 17, it was known that 16 people in Kyiv had died and another 134 were injured.

The enemy struck at least 4 times in Zaporizhia. Destruction was recorded at several enterprises. Fires broke out there. Nearby houses were damaged by the blast wave.

At dawn, the Russian occupiers launched a massive drone strike on Odessa. The city has seen destruction, fires, and damage to civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings, an inclusive center, a preschool, garages, etc.

The Russian morning attack injured 17 people, including a pregnant woman and a 17-year-old girl. One person was hospitalized, while the others, after receiving medical care, are continuing their treatment on an outpatient basis.
