During the Russian attack on Kyiv on the night of August 1, a ballistic and cruise missile struck the Autostrada production base, resulting in casualties.

This was announced by the founder of the Avtostrada group of companies, Maksym Shkil, reports Censor.NET.

Victims of the attack

“The worst thing is that two of our colleagues died: mixer driver Roman Trokhymets and forklift driver Ruslan Grenchak ,” the report says.

It is also reported that another worker – forklift driver Yuriy Oliynyk – was injured. He is currently in hospital, where he is receiving necessary medical care. His life is no longer in danger.

According to Shkil, almost all of the company’s employees were in shelter at the time . However, the alarm sounded after the explosion and two employees did not have time to reach the shelter.

“On behalf of the entire Autostrada family, I express my deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of our deceased colleagues. We are providing the families with all necessary material assistance and will be there for as long as necessary!” he added.

Damage to the base

It is noted that the base employees promptly provided first aid to the wounded and on their own forces localized the fire that broke out after the hit. Thanks to this, it was possible to prevent the fire from spreading to production facilities and causing even greater casualties.

In total, more than 20 pieces of equipment were destroyed and damaged, a concrete plant, the “Avtostrada” service center for equipment repair, production facilities, a laboratory complex, and a residential area for employees were actually destroyed.
