I examine Ukraine’s reported overnight strikes on Russia’s Ozon logistics center in Adygea, two Pantsir air-defense systems in occupied Crimea, a UAV control point in Zaporizhzhia, and a logistics depot in Luhansk. The Ozon fire and partial collapse matter because Ukraine is trying to impose costs on the infrastructure behind Russia’s war effort, while Firepoint says its long-range drones can operate even without Starlink—albeit at sharply reduced effectiveness.
I also assess the extraordinary imbalance Ukraine faces. Russia reportedly launched 310 drones overnight, including 81 jet-powered Shaheds, while Russian strikes outnumbered Ukrainian strikes 36 to one over the previous 30 days. Ukrainian-reported Russian personnel losses reached a record weekly level, but battlefield attrition does not by itself resolve the air-defense and civilian-protection challenge. I discuss the repeated glide-bomb attack on a school shelter in Komyshuvakha and why sustained support and strategic pressure on Moscow remain consequential.
