The Russian propaganda publication RBC reported that the Association of Fishing Fleet Shipowners complained that on May 16, a ship belonging to the Arctic Shipping company, which is part of one of Russia’s largest fishing holdings Norebo, was refused an attempt to enter the Dutch port of Eemshaven.

It is noted that the vessel had all the necessary documents that meet EU requirements, and these are catch certificates, port state control forms and others. At the same time, Russian suppliers were offered to use “alternative delivery routes,” but attempts to change the place of unloading to another port in the Netherlands – Walsen, or ports in Germany “also turned out to be futile.”

“The Dutch media raised an openly Russophobic story that the Russian Maritime Doctrine, updated in 2022, supposedly provides for the direct control of fishing and transport vessels by the Russian authorities, which must be in constant readiness to carry out certain “special operations,” said ASRF President Alexey Osintsev.

According to him, this “fabrication” became a pretext to prohibit the entry of Russian transport vessels with fish into the Netherlands.
