On the evening of Sunday, February 4, the Mi-8 helicopter of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation stopped communicating in the Republic of Karelia .

At 21:26 this was reported on the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. “During a training flight over Lake Onega, the Mi-8 helicopter of the North-Western Aviation Rescue Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations stopped communicating,” the message says.
It is known that there are three crew members on board. The Russians organized search and rescue operations in the area of the village of Derevyannoye. Rescuers on hovercraft and snowmobiles were sent to the site, and the An-26 aircraft of the North-West Air Navigation Service with rescuers on board was also put on alert.
