On the night of July 30, a powerful explosion was heard in Inkerman near Sevastopol . After it, the air in the district smelled of burning, and the area where the “cotton” fell was surrounded by occupiers.
By morning, it became known that the explosion had hit a railway traction substation. This was reported by the Telegram channel “Crimean Wind”.
What is known
According to the channel, the explosion in the railway area in Inkerman occurred at around 3:20 a.m.

Immediately after it , the smell of burning began to be felt in the air , and local residents observed the glow of the fire and smoke .

Almost immediately , fire trucks rushed to the scene of the explosion , and the occupants set up a perimeter .

It soon became known that the explosion had hit a railway traction substation in the Zhovtnevyi neighborhood (coordinates – 44.594444, 33.606389).

The extent of damage to the substation is being clarified . Also, at the time of publication of the messages, “Crimean Wind” did not have information about whether electric trains were operating on this section.


What preceded
Earlier, “Ates” reported on the panic mood in the 12th anti-aircraft missile regiment in Sevastopol. Due to the raids by Ukrainian UAVs, the equipment was moved to shelters on the territory of the unit, and only the personnel on duty are present there. The rest of the occupiers were dispersed around the city.
