The other day, an attempt was made on the former mayor of Kupyansk, Kharkiv region, Gennady Matsegoru. On June 11, the traitor of Ukraine died in a Russian hospital. 

The mass media wrote about it with reference to the post of his wife Lyudmila. According to her, Matsegora died on Monday, June 10, 2024 (probably a mistake was made in the post, UNIAN). 

The Russian propaganda outlet Mash reports that Matsegora died without regaining consciousness in a Moscow hospital.

What the Ukrainian special services say

It is worth noting that Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence, said in a comment to ” Suspilno ” that there is no confirmed information about Matsegora’s death.

At the same time, interlocutors of “Suspilny” in the Ukrainian special services do not reject that the appearance of such a publication could be “either someone’s joke, or part of the information operation of the Russian special services.”

Attempt on Matsehora 

On June 7, 2024, an attempt was made  on the traitor of Ukraine Hennadiy Matsehora, who held the position of mayor of Kupyansk, Kharkiv region, from the OPZZH party. The Main Directorate of Intelligence noted that he was in critical condition. 

Later, it was reported that the traitor was shot in Stary Oskol near a house in the Maryshkin log neighborhood.

We will remind you that at the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, Gennady Matsegora, who was the mayor of Kupyansk at that time, voluntarily cooperated with the invaders. In June 2022, he signed the “protocol” establishing the occupation Kharkiv administration. When the Defense Forces launched a counteroffensive in Kharkiv Oblast, the traitor Matsehor fled to Russia.
