Local residents note that in Kherson an analogue of the Donetsk “Izolyatsia” appeared for torturing those who disagree with the occupation regime,” the Ombudsman said.

In addition, according to her, the region is on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe. 106 settlements remain without electricity. There is less and less food and medicine, and the Russian invaders are taking the last thing from the population.

“There are no vital medicines for people with oncology or diabetes in the region at all. The other day, the invaders seized a humanitarian hub in Kherson, which was organized to help citizens and medical institutions of the region. Rashisti took away medicines, baby food and diapers… The occupiers have blocked most of the information channels of Ukraine and are spreading disinformation through the rashist media and social networks,” Denisova said.

The Ombudswoman emphasized that such actions of the Russian invaders are a war crime, defined by the Charter of the International Military Tribunal and the Rome Charter of the International Criminal Court, as well as a violation of the norms of the Geneva Convention for the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.

“I appeal to the UN Commission to Investigate Human Rights Violations during the Russian military invasion of Ukraine and the expert mission established by the OSCE participating States in accordance with the Moscow Mechanism to take into account these facts of war crimes and human rights violations of the Russian Federation in Ukraine,” Lyudmila Denisova added. .
