First part of the story of ‘Ace’ — an American veteran who joined the rifle battalion of the 3rd Assault Brigade. After being wounded, he recovered at home only to come back to Ukraine, rejoin the ranks and build his future in the country he grew to love.

Our documentary features a lot of his own combat footage, showing what heavy frontline missions and daily life with his unit actually look like.

‘Ace’ fought in Iraq for two years as a heavy machine gunner, mortar operator. Veteran shares his perspective on the shift to modern drone warfare, core motivations to fight, and how surviving tough combat missions led him to completely rethink his faith.
