Grant Shapps says there are “some tough weeks ahead”.

The delay in providing aid to Ukraine gave Russia a window of opportunity for its new offensive. British Defense Minister Grant Shapps said this in an interview with Sky News .
“It is a fact that the delay in sending additional aid – and here, obviously, the United States Congress was in no hurry to do this – caused a pause during which Putin tried to seize Kharkov,” the politician noted.
According to him, he is confident that Ukraine will be able to repel the attack, but there are “several difficult weeks” ahead.
“But this shouldn’t have happened,” he added.
In addition, Shapps believes that “Europeans must also step up” and calls on other European countries to commit to spending 2.5% of GDP on defense.
At the same time, Shapps is not a supporter of the idea that Great Britain would allow the use of weapons it provided to Ukraine on Russian territory. Instead, he called on Germany and other countries to allow the weapons they provide to be used in Crimea, which was illegally annexed by Russia in 2014.
UK aid to Ukraine
Ukraine received military aid from Britain . This was announced by the Kingdom’s Minister of Defense Grant Shapps. According to him, in total, Kyiv received 80 air defense missiles from Britain during May.
UNIAN also reported that Britain will not transfer Challenger tanks to Ukraine . At the same time, the Kingdom previously transferred 14 Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine. They were used by the 82nd Airborne Brigade of Ukraine.

I’m really tired of hearing this bullshit. I appreciate all that GB and others have done so much but give me a break. From what I can tell about 2 billion dollars of military equipment had come to Ukraine so far since the US approved the aid. Are you telling me that the entire West couldn’t come up with 2billion in military equipment. It’s the entire fuckin West that has caused this. It’s about time everyone take responsibility. This blame gamesmanship needs to stop.
“At the same time, Shapps is not a supporter of the idea that Great Britain would allow the use of weapons it provided to Ukraine on Russian territory.”
Shapps sounds tough on the inside, but when look inside, you find marshmallows.
Story is incorrect.
He has not denied permission for Ukraine to use British missiles inside putlerstan:
“I cannot go into decisions about how weapons are permissioned, …”
Dave Cameron, who outranks Mr Shapps, has already given formal permission for Ukraine to attack inside the shithole.
In fact it has already happened.
