The Ukrainian army is storming a strategic settlement

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue the counter-offensive in the Kherson region, while the Russian occupiers are trying to gain a foothold in the Berislav region: on the outskirts of the dam of the Kakhova Hydroelectric Power Plant. However, such attempts cost the enemy huge manpower losses.
Deputy of the Kherson Regional Council Serhiy Khlan told about this on the air of the Apostrophe TV.
In the Kherson region, fierce fighting continues between Ukrainian defenders and Russian occupiers, who are striving to keep the city of Berislav, despite significant manpower losses.
“Complex battles are going on, and the occupier is trying to gain a foothold in the Berislav region, this is important for them because the city is the approach to the dam of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant. There are the villages of Kazatske and Vesele behind Berislav near the HPP, it is important for the occupier to keep the city and he is pulling up reserves there, now under Berislav is fighting,” Serhiy Khlan said.
As a result of significant losses of manpower, the Russian occupiers converted the Berislav, Kakhovka and Novokakhovka hospitals to receive their wounded, having discharged all civilians from there. The situation is the same in Kherson City: civilian patients were discharged from the surgical department. The enemy has turned almost all hospitals into hospitals for the occupiers.
“The order of the insane dictator is being carried out to hold on the right bank of the Dnipro River at any cost, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are liberating the Kherson region from occupation, despite any resistance,” the deputy explained.
In connection with this order, the enemy is pushing its military equipment from Crimea and remote places on the left bank of the Dnipro River to the right bank, and newly mobilized Russians have also appeared. It’s easy to identify them by old-style helmets of the 60s.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defence Forces continue to liberate Ukrainian territories from the enemy: over the past week, 29 settlements have been de-occupied and 1,170 sq. km have been recaptured.
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine took the crow in the ring from Osokorivka to Dudchany downstream of the Dnipro River, and moving down from Vysokopillia through Velika Oleksandrivka and Mala Oleksandrivka to Davidiv Brid, that is, a ring was formed along the Dnipro and Inhulets rivers, all Russian troops were cleared there,” summed up Serhiy Khlan.

The cockroaches are shuttling back and forth across the river with whatever floats to bring whatever supplies they can to keep hold of the right bank for however long. Doesn’t sound like a rock solid military strategy. It sounds more like last half-assed, desperate measures, akin to Adolf Hitler of April 1945.
Those freshly mobilized cockroaches can be lucky not to get plastic construction worker helmets. Although, they might even be better.
Can’t help thinking facts, that the speed of the advance is being dictated by the HIMARS, or rather the lack of them.
Surely in such a textbook situation, with the enemy pinned down, defenders would be pounding the orcs 24/7 to cull their numbers prior to assault?
It would suggest they have not got them in sufficient numbers?
Why waste HIMARS on pockets of cockroaches that can be eliminated by other means. I get it it would be nice if there was unlimited supply. But even with more platforms ammo is limited.
I think that the Ukrainian forces will use the minimum type of ammo for any given situation. They’ve been doing with so little for so long that they’ve become experts in this. I doubt it very much that they will waste HIMARS on anything but major targets. I could see them doing so if they spot a very large, fairly closely packed congregation of cockroaches, though.
For real if they locate a barracks of them blast with the HIMARS. I’m sure they use them where needed and directed. Sucks they’ve had to improvise and make due, but not uncommon for any battlefield situation.
From what I’ve heard a few shells are available that can wipe out an area of four U.S. football fields in one volley.
