After unsuccessful attacks on Kyiv, Kharkiv and Kherson Russian army forced to change plan of its invasion again,- Defense Ministry

After unsuccessful attacks on Kyiv, Kharkiv and Kherson, the Russian army is forced to change the plan of its invasion of Ukraine. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Maliar, the press service of Ministry of Defense reports.

“During the two days of hostilities, units and subdivisions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repeatedly forced the enemy to change its strategic goals. Trying to encircle the combined forces, the enemy quickly lost the initiative north of Kharkiv and was stopped in its advance south in Kherson area. The situation, which did not allow the enemy to develop an offensive in the planned directions, forced him to make adjustments to their plans. Quite quickly, the enemy redirected its main efforts in another direction and focused on the capital of Ukraine in Kyiv, but the planned initiative was not achieved. Therefore, the realization of the next goal turned out to be impossible,” Maliar said.

“It is likely that once again the enemy will try to realize their intentions by finding other ways to implement or change the purpose of the invasion,” the Deputy Minister of Defense added.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to fight, inflict damage on the enemy, forcing him to abandon his intentions.
