Most Ukrainians see no progress in the investigation of high-profile criminal cases.
More than 80% of Ukrainian citizens consider the fight against corruption at the highest government levels unsuccessful, that’s according to a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) February 21-25.
“The fight against corruption in the highest government levels is unsuccessful, 83% of respondents believe (in December it was 76%), while 12% see success (in December it was 17%),” the KIIS said.
Also, sociologists say the majority of Ukrainians see no progress in the investigation of high-profile criminal cases: 80% of respondents thought so in February (71% in December), only 11% note success (in December it was 17%).
The survey was conducted using computer-assisted telephone interviews based on a random selection of respondents. The sample is representative of the adult population (aged 18 years and over). The sample excludes territories that are temporarily beyond the control of Ukrainian authorities – the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
A total of 1,500 interviews were conducted, while a sampling error with a probability of 0.95 does not exceed 3%.
As UNIAN reported earlier, among the priority changes that Ukrainians expect from the president are cessation of hostilities in eastern Ukraine, strengthening of anti-graft measures, industrial revival, raising social standards, and improving the quality of health care.

This poll certainly contradicts the statement Zelensky come out with a few weeks back, when he claimed there is no corruption in Ukraine now. Poroshenko gave Ze 12 months when he was elected president. I think he might be right.
But with his huge majority, only another Maidan will change his calculus. But of course launching a revolution against a legitimately elected incumbent is very different from kicking out a corrupt goon for being a kremkrapper.
In other news, it is becoming increasingly likely that Trump’s opponent will be Gospodin Bernie Sanderzov, a man who thinks that the Castro business model would work for America and who has just broke cover as a putlerite.
So the electorate now have to choose between a hard right putlerite or a Bolshevik putlerite. How delightful.

So he wants a new organisation made up from terrorist countries, to fight terrorism. That’s going to work really well.
And like all Marxist-Leninists he’s promising loads of free stuff, which could work well for him, given the demographic time bomb that potentially gives the Dems’ expanding voter base of Marxist college professors, welfare leeches, unions, hipsters, climate bullshitters and third world dross, the whip-hand.
Count me in.
With the shit nuggets currently in charge and in judge’s robes, there can’t be any improvements. They enjoy slobbering around in the hog trough too much.
