“About two-thirds of the attacks are successful”: Musienko – about the impression of the Mozdok airfield

According to a military expert, attacks continue on airfields, and “this is absolutely correct.”

About two-thirds of Ukrainian drone attacks at a distance of more than 1,000 kilometers are successful. Commenting on today’s attack on the Mozdok airfield in North Ossetia for Channel 24 , Oleksandr Musienko, head of the Center for Military Legal Research, said this .

According to him, this is a pretty good indicator.

“Currently, it is still difficult to say about the damage, there is no information yet. The fact that they arrived is important. Unlike other objects, this is an airfield that should be covered by air defense,” the expert noted.

He believes that “the Russians had problems with this, because on the video of the moment of the attack, you can hear that the invaders are trying to shoot down the drones with small arms.”

“The occupiers say that they allegedly “shot down” drones. They are finding out what kind of UAVs they were – they are collecting debris, etc. However, it is worth waiting for satellite images to understand the possible damage to the airfield. The fact that attacks continue on airfields is absolutely that’s right, that’s how it should be done,” says Musienko.

He explains that the Mozdok airfield is characterized by the fact that the MiG-31K is located there – the Dagger carrier. In addition, there are Tu-22M3s, which the enemy used to fire at Odeshchyna.

“You have to understand that up to Mozdok there can be up to three echelons of air defense that you have to go through. In some places it is better, and in some places it is just a mark on the map. Ukrainian drones fly to Russian objects not because there is no Russian anti-aircraft defense. And because the Ukrainian military has learned and understood how to bypass certain areas and divert the enemy’s attention,” the expert summarized.

Attack on the Mozdok military airfield

On Saturday, June 8, GUR drones flew to North Ossetia for the first time and attacked a strategic airfield. UNIAN’s sources in the special service confirmed that the drone attack on North Ossetia is a special operation of the GUR.

The Russian Federation reported that three UAVs flying from Ukraine were allegedly shot down in the “Mozdok” area, while the head of this Russian region said that “there was minor damage” as a result of the shooting down.

As you know, Tu-22M3 bombers take off from the Russian airfield “Mozdok”, which then launch massive strikes on Ukraine with missiles.
