“It’s about 30 km from the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Posad-Pokrovsky to Kherson, but ours are already further, behind Posad-Pokrovsky. From this position, houses in Kherson can already be seen. This is very good, because all types of artillery will start working,” Arestovich said.

The situation in the Kherson region: details

As UNIAN reported earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that since October 1,  more than 500 square kilometers of territory  and dozens of settlements have been liberated and stabilized in the Kherson region.

Experts from the American Institute for War Research report that the  Armed Forces of Ukraine are making significant progress in the Kherson region .

According to British intelligence, the Ukrainian defenders  pushed the front line  back up to 20 kilometers forward, mainly making progress on the east bank of the Ingulets River and on the west bank of the Dnieper River.
