On the night of Friday, January 9, a series of strikes on Belgorod’s energy infrastructure were recorded, after which the Russians complained of a complete blackout. It became known that the strikes were carried out using HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems.
This was reported by the Telegram channel “Spy’s Dossier”, which is maintained by an employee of one of the special services. According to preliminary information, a total of 14 missiles were used, six of which were shot down.
What targets were attacked with HIMARS:
– CHP “Luch” – fire, transformer burned down;
– CHP “Belgorodska” – fire, pipeline, transformer, administrative buildings damaged;
– 330 kV Belgorod substation – fire, the substation is de-energized.
On the evening of January 9, as a result of these strikes, 18 more 110 kV substations and 10 35 kV substations were knocked out of power.
“The damage is not critical. Repair work is underway,” the channel’s author noted.
As OBOZ.UA reported, explosions were heard in Russia on the night of January 9, in particular in Belgorod and Oryol. After that, problems with electricity supply were observed .
In Belgorod, after the explosions, residents reported disruptions in electricity, water supply, and heating. In some areas of the Belgorod region, the power went out completely.
