They help victims of Russian shelling to get rid of injuries and return to a full life. A team of Odessa plastic surgeons performs free operations for the wounded and restores their appearance. The story of a young man who was injured during a missile attack on Sergeevka in the Odessa region is in the material of Anastasia Sukhoi.
Gleb Ivankovich came for a scheduled postoperative examination, and at the same time for injection procedures. The guy received numerous shrapnel wounds, there was no living place on his body, and his face was cut with shrapnel during a rocket attack on the resort of Sergeevka on the night of July 1.

This is how Gleb looked a few days after the tragedy. Almost all of his body was covered with deep wounds. He and his friends then came to Sergeevka to celebrate graduation from the university. They rented rooms at the Goji recreation center. The guy says – and he could not think that an enemy missile would fly there.
“Everyone thinks, well? this will not happen to me, it’s somewhere there – in the north, in the east, somewhere near Kherson. Well, you see, our fellows, Serpentine departed, they decided, probably, to take revenge on us, ”recalls Gleb.

To restore his face, Odessa plastic surgeons performed several free surgeries. They pulled out more than a hundred fragments from the face and back and restored the tendon on the arm. Gleb also traveled to Ivano-Frankivsk, where a team of American surgeons under the Face to face program removed several scars on his face. Next, the young man will have a course of plasma therapy and long-term rehabilitation.
“While he is developing his hand, the time has already passed, which allows a certain, dosed load to be given. On the face, he takes a course of therapy. Plasma injections and we are now injecting a hormonal drug that will help dissolve rough scars, plump ones, it will change their thickness, make them softer and more invisible, ”says plastic surgeon Artur Tumbashyan.

Now Gleb is gradually returning to his usual life. The longest he will have to work on the restoration of the facial nerve. Now his face is a little twisted, but there is already progress, the guy says.
“The nerve needs to recover, because it is not completely broken. Little by little, I’m starting to feel some progress. But it may take a year or even more,” says Gleb.
Despite all the horror that he had to endure, Gleb entered the magistracy of the Odessa Food Academy, and already knows what he will do after our victory.
“I plan to recover more or less, God forbid the war ends, we will win, and I want to develop the hotel business in Ukraine,” Gleb shares his plans.
Recall that on the night of July 1, the Russian army fired three Kh-22 missiles from strategic aviation at the resort of Sergeevka . They ended up in a residential high-rise building and a recreation center. That night, 22 people died and 36 others were injured.
