Near Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region, Ukrainian soldiers were able to escape captivity thanks to drones. Aerial reconnaissance quickly detected a group of occupiers and provided air support.
The successful operation was reported on the Telegram channel of the 7th Airborne Assault Corps. The soldiers also shared footage of the drones in action.
During an assault on an observation post near Pokrovsk, a Russian reconnaissance and sabotage group captured four Ukrainian defenders. The occupiers then attempted to escort the prisoners out of the combat zone.
The enemy group’s movement was detected by aerial reconnaissance aircraft patrolling the area at the time. Attack drones from the 25th Separate Sicheslav Airborne Brigade of the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces, the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush, and related units were quickly called in to provide support.
The appearance of a swarm of FPV drones in the sky disoriented the Russian troops and distracted them. Taking advantage of the situation, Ukrainian soldiers were able to escape and leave the danger zone.
Meanwhile, the occupiers tried to hide in bushes and trenches, but it didn’t save them. Within minutes, more than 10 Ukrainian drones dispatched the Russians.

OBOZ.UA previously reported that the Russian army maintains high activity in the Pokrovsk sector, exerting pressure from the northwest and northeast. The occupiers are combining infantry attacks with mechanized assaults, primarily using light vehicles. Ukrainian defenders are identifying and destroying armored targets, particularly tanks.
Recently, National Guard troops, along with allied units, repelled an enemy assault. The enemy attempted an offensive in the Pokrovsky direction, during which command deployed approximately 90 assault aircraft. Under cover of fog, the enemy attempted to advance using cars, motorcycles, and ATVs.

Great work by the drone operators. They probably saved the lives of those four soldiers, seeing how the cockroaches are often murderers.
