In Russia, on December 21, there were complaints about an air attack. In the Sochi area of the Krasnodar Territory, local residents heard up to a dozen powerful
explosions, which “shook the windows in their frames and set off the alarm.”
It was also noisy in the Tuapse region, where, among other things, an oil refinery is located. Some Russian propaganda publications write about this.
“A series of explosions thundered over Sochi. According to preliminary data, the air defense system was triggered,” one of them informed his audience of over 1.2 million subscribers.
Residents of Sochi and the surrounding area, propagandists claim, heard a series of powerful explosions early in the morning.
“Local residents said that starting at 5:50 a.m., they heard 7 to 10 explosions in the Lazarevskoye area, which shook windows in their frames and set off alarms near cars. Residents of Tuapse also wrote about loud sounds,” the public says.
The propagandists also shared “preliminary data” that Russian air defense was allegedly operating drones in the water area.
“There is currently no official information about damage or casualties,” the message states.
Tuapse is also home to the Tuapse Oil Refinery, which is part of Rosneft. 90% of its production is exported, according to open sources.
In May and July of this year, drones from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine already flew to the enterprise.
In comments to the report of the explosions, the Russians suggest that the port could have been the target.
As a reminder, on the night of December 21, Russians also complained about a massive ATACMS attack on Rylsk in the Kursk region. It is reported that there were deaths and injuries as a result of the strike, and the city was left without electricity.
