In occupied Crimea at about 14:30 on Friday, March 1, powerful explosions occurred. An air raid warning was announced in Sevastopol, Evpatoria and Saki, and the occupiers raised a smoke screen over Sevastopol Bay. The Crimean Bridge and the Dzhankoy checkpoint were blocked.

Local media reported this. There were about five explosions in Sevastopol, after which the light went out in the city center.

At the same time, propaganda resources announced the destruction of supposedly all “ten missiles” launched over the Black Sea.

They claim that Russian air defense allegedly worked on Storm Shadow missiles.

The “governor” of occupied Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev, said that there was “no damage to the infrastructure” and called for “remaining calm.”

“The military is working to destroy air targets. The smoke in the area of the internal roadstead, Sevastopol and Southern bays is the military using standard means of camouflage,” he wrote in his Telegram channel.

However, later propagandists complained about the blackout in the center of Sevastopol.

The media also write that for several hours the Sushki of the invaders circled in the direction of Sevastopol – Simferopol.

According to the Crimean Wind Telegram channel, explosions also occurred in the area of the military base in Gvardeyskoye, Simferopol district. Electricity went out in the village itself.

A fire was also reported south of the runway at Simferopol airport around 16:00.

In addition, it was loud in the area of Yevpatoria and in the Saki region, where the occupiers’ air defense was actively “shooting back”.

As OBOZ.UA reported, earlier military expert Vladislav Seleznev predicted that the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol, which was destroyed as a result of an attack in September 2023, will not be restored by the occupiers. The invaders are currently unable to provide reliable protection for this building from Ukrainian attacks.
