Footage of a Russian air defense missile striking an oil tank in Moscow during an attempt to repel an attack by Ukraine on June 18 has appeared on social media.

The video shows a Ukrainian drone flying over a sky filled with gray smoke from previous Ukrainian military strikes. A Russian air defense missile “targetedly shot down” the Ukrainian military drone in front of the refinery and hit the tank with a “precision strike.” Bright flames and a torn-off hatch are visible below.

Attack on Moscow on June 18

  • On the night of June 18, drones attacked Moscow. The oil refinery in Kapotny was hit, and the “Carpet” plan was implemented at four of the capital’s airports.
  • According to the General Staff, the Moscow Oil Refinery was hit again on the night of June 18. A hit and a large-scale fire were recorded on the territory of the enterprise – at present there are at least 5 burning points.
  • Previously, a combined oil refining facility, secondary processing facilities, and a tank farm were on fire.
