Your periodic reminder that Kharkiv is the best city in the world and that it too deserves protection from Russian bombs, Iranian drones, and North Korean missiles. Once again mass killing, genocide, the destruction of entire cities is happening in Europe. And once again the people who are honest enough to see what is happening are left with the thankless task of trying to explain in words that will finally get through to those in power.
But whether it is paralysis, fear, guilt, incompetence, or complacency, not enough of those with the power to act are willing to face the truth. The truth of what happens in the occupied territories, the truth of Russia’s aim to destroy Ukraine as a distinct identity and nation, the truth of what Russian victory means for the West and especially for Europe in the coming geopolitical order, what it means for western citizens who have grown used to thinking wars are something that happen far away. Every day we refuse to see the truth, the stakes grow higher, the threat Russia poses to democratic European states grows more real, and the Ukrainians fighting that threat grow fewer, buried in graveyards overrun with blue and yellow flags.

Gentlemen:
Self-deterrence is no substitute for a clearly stated strategic objective.
While you cling to your discredited policy of ‘escalation management’ real innocents and brave Ukrainian defenders die as a direct consequence each day.
Seize the moment. Remove all restrictions on the use of deep strike weapons systems inside the Russian Federation. It’s better to kill the archer where he dwells than to try to intercept his incoming arrows.
Declare that America’s overarching goal is to enable the Armed Forces of Ukraine to decisively defeat the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
Time to stop enabling the Kremlin’s imperial ambitions. Time to unshackle your inner raging bull. Time to decapitate the snake.

Some of my thoughts:
1 – The intelligence services of “democratic countries” should calculate and analyze the real situation and convey the information to the leaders of Western countries (USA/Europe). If they do not do this, then they (intelligence services) are not doing their job, and if they do, but the leaders of the West do not understand and do not do anything – then this is a question of the competence and interests of Western leaders.
2 – You can have different attitudes to the monarchy of the United Kingdom, but if the Kremlin proposes a return to feudalism and colonialism, then members of the British royal family have the right to the throne in Saint-Petersburg/Moscow. Because the Windsors are relatives of the Holstein-Gottorp-Romanovs and have the right to take back what is theirs.
3 – Many ordinary Russians are ready to recognize the protectorate of the monarch of Great Britain just to free themselves from the Kremlin junta.
This comment may seem crazy, but from Eastern Europe the situation is seen this way.

Yet it really does have to be said because no one in a position of power seems to understand it.
The silence of every war crime that mafia land commits is like a gust of wind into their sails of evilness. Our complacency and appeasements are only encouraging them to commit more and worse atrocities. Our weakness and cowardice will eventually embolden the Nazi horde to directly attack a NATO country in some form. It’s already happened. It’s only not obvious if those attacks were by accident or deliberate. NATO shrugged them off as accidental. One day, those attacks will be blatantly on purpose. The various fools in Western capital cities are only playing with fire. Peace is a far-off fantasy.
