Odessa defenders over the Black Sea shot down a rare and very expensive Russian drone “Forpost” – an analogue of Bayraktar. This drone can conduct reconnaissance and attack ground targets.

“The air force hit one of the most expensive attack aircraft of the Forporst type – this is a Russian UAV, its cost is about 7 million dollars. It was shot down by the Odessa anti-aircraft missile brigade over the Black Sea – this is a rather unusual target, but still we managed to destroy it,” said Air Force spokesman Ilya Yevlash during the telethon.

According to him, this drone can carry different combat loads and can carry out assigned combat missions along the collision line for a sufficiently long period of time.

“It is somewhat reminiscent of an analogue of Bayraktar. It is large enough, it can conduct reconnaissance, and at the same time carry an additional combat load in the form of two missiles or other weapons to hit ground targets,” summed up Yevlash.
