An An-24 plane with 46 people on board has disappeared from radar in Russia . The plane was last spotted in the sky over the Amur Region.

According to ” Baza “, the plane of the Angara airline was flying the Khabarovsk-Blagovishchensk-Tynda flight. The An-24 was preparing to land, but was unable to land on the first attempt, after which it went for a second go-around. After that, contact with it was lost.

Rosaviatsia reported that the search for the missing An-24 “has not yielded any results yet.” According to various sources, there were from 43 to 49 people on board, including 5 children.

The plane previously disappeared a few kilometers from Tynda, its destination. A plane from the Ministry of Emergency Situations is being sent to search for the missing plane.

According to SHOT , the An-24 aircraft took off with a two-hour delay from Blagoveshchensk, where it was making a technical landing during a flight from Khabarovsk to Tynda.

The Angara plane departed from Khabarovsk at 7:36 a.m. local time. At 8:22 a.m. (Blagovishchensk time), it landed in Blagovishchensk and was scheduled to depart for Tynda in an hour. However, it was delayed for two hours, with the actual departure taking place at 11:20 a.m. local time. The plane missed the checkpoint approximately 15 km from Tynda. Low cloud cover and rain are currently being observed at the local airport. The runway grip coefficient is 0.5.
