“A pile of dead DPRK soldiers”: a captured Russian spoke about the situation in the Kursk region

02/04/2025

Captured Russian occupier Andriy Zlobin spoke about the situation in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, where the operation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces is ongoing. In the village of Makhnovka, where he was captured, he saw many liquidated soldiers from North Korea.

A video of the Russian’s interrogation was posted on the Facebook page of the Airborne Assault Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He and other occupiers were supposed to hold a fortified area in Makhnovka.

“They occupied the basements, no one relieved us for a long time, there was no communication. One day, your guys simply captured us in the basement. Koreans were walking ahead of us, but I only saw them dead. Many. They were lying in the streets,” said Zlobin.

This Russian man was previously imprisoned for chopping firewood in the forest. He was sentenced to 3.5 years in prison and stripped of the officer rank he had received at the university. The man had been in prison for almost a year when recruiters from the Russian army arrived there in April 2024.

Having joined the Russian Armed Forces, the invader was supposed to serve only six months, but it turned out differently. At first, he fought in the Bakhmut direction in the Donetsk region. The invader received several wounds, and after treatment he ended up in Kurshchyna.

There he fought against Ukraine as part of the 11th separate airborne assault brigade of the Russian army.

As OBOZ.UA reported, according to media reports, North Korean soldiers were withdrawn from the front line in the Kursk region after they suffered significant losses. According to anonymous sources, they have not been seen on the battlefield for about two weeks.

Pavlo Lakiychuk, head of security programs at the Center for Global Studies “Strategy XXI”, noted: North Korean soldiers were withdrawn from the front line in Kursk, but this does not mean that they were sent home. Perhaps the invaders are simply changing tactics.

And Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that North Korean soldiers, like the Russian occupiers, are forbidden to retreat – commanders will execute them for it. However, North Korean soldiers adapt to fighting in such conditions, gain real combat experience and critically important military skills.

In the meantime, South Korea is sitting around with its thumbs up its ass. Their reputation is also in tatters.

  2. Totalitarian shitholes have no regard whatsoever for human life. Even their own, although the 800,000 orc vermin on Ukrainian territories are not remotely human. But then neither is their dictator, who was created in Dr Josef Mengele’s lab by blending the DNA of hitler, a poisonous snake, a scorpion and a rat.

Shit that even a Dog wouldn’t shit?

I’m stumped for a single word to describe them.
