What is “ZapSibNeftekhim”?

ZapSibNeftekhim is the largest petrochemical complex in Russia and one of the world’s largest producers of basic polymers (polyethylene and polypropylene). It is located in the city of Tobolsk and is part of the SIBUR Holding.

The plant processes oil by-products into 2.5 million tons of polymers per year. The liquid gas mixture at the HFCU plant is converted into environmentally friendly raw materials, which are then used to produce polyethylene and polypropylene for parts, pipes, and packaging.
