The military commandant’s office was created for the purpose of maintaining law and order and ensuring the priority needs of the population.

On the territory of the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, which is controlled by the Defense Forces of Ukraine, a military commander’s office headed by Major General Eduard Moskalev has been established.

This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, during a video conference for the participants of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Staff meeting with the participation of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi.

“On the territory of the Kursk region, the search and destruction of the enemy in the settlement of Suja and three other settlements has been completed. To maintain law and order and ensure the priority needs of the population, a military command post has been created in the territories under control, and its head has been appointed – Major General Moskalyov has been appointed,” he emphasized Syrian

Also, the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces noted that since the beginning of the current day, Ukrainian troops have advanced from 500 meters to 1.5 km in some directions, repelled three enemy attacks and continue to conduct offensive operations.

Syrsky emphasized that since the beginning of the operation on the territory of Kurshchyna, Ukrainian troops have advanced 35 km into the defense of the enemy. “1,150 square kilometers of territory, 82 settlements have been taken under control,” said Sirskyi. He added that in general the situation is under control.
