A minibus, a truck and a car collided on the highway. The roadway is partially blocked.
A fatal accident occurred near Lviv on the Lviv-Ternopil highway involving a DAF truck, a Mercedes Sprinter minibus, and a BMW passenger car.
Seven passengers of the minibus died in the accident, and three more injured participants of the accident were hospitalized. The highway is currently partially closed.
As reported by the patrol police, the accident occurred early Sunday morning on the 105th kilometer of the M-09 Ternopil-Lviv-Rava-Ruska road near the village of Chyzhykiv.
“Unfortunately, there are injuries and fatalities. One lane of traffic is blocked – reverse regulation is provided. Patrol officers and other services are helping to eliminate the consequences of the accident,” the report said.

The Lviv region police clarified that the data on the deceased is being clarified. They clarified that three people were injured – a 45-year-old truck driver, a 39-year-old minibus driver and his 23-year-old passenger. They were hospitalized in medical institutions in Lviv – their diagnoses are being clarified.
Following the accident, investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code (“violation of road safety rules or transport operation by persons driving vehicles”). The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for three years.
