Local residents showed a video showing something burning in the sea.

In the area of ​​the village of Simeiz, Yalta region, temporarily occupied Crimea, local residents heard machine gun fire.

This was reported by the Crimean Wind Telegram channel; explosions were heard in the sea at about 7 am, but there were no missile launches. According to one of the subscribers, a Russian ship was attacked.

“The subscriber claims that after the explosions the BDK (large landing ship – UNIAN) sank. The information requires confirmation,” the message states.

They called on subscribers from Simeiz, Miskhor, Katsiveli, Gaspra and Alupka to see what was happening at sea and report.

A fuzzy video subsequently emerged showing something burning in the sea.

At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense reports the destruction of six Ukrainian UAVs over the Black Sea.

Later it became known about further explosions at sea. Residents of the village of Katsiveli felt a strong shock wave. The ammunition of the damaged ship probably explodes. Another ship approached to rescue the sinking ship, and a submarine was also visible nearby.

As UNIAN previously reported,  Russia’s total losses in the war  already include 24 ships/boats and one submarine. The publication Bild in early February estimated that  the Ukrainian side managed to sink a fifth of the Russian Black Sea Fleet .

Press Secretary of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant Commander Dmitry Pletenchuk, said that Russia can only preserve the ships of its Black Sea Fleet in two ways  – either withdraw them from the waters of the Azov-Black Sea region, or sink them themselves.
