A house burned to the ground and a wounded dog: the director of the Odessa Zoo about the hit by a “shahed”

The wounded dog of the Odessa Zoo director Godrik was taken to the clinic, three more animals are being searched for.

Godrik’s back leg is injured, another dog and two cats got scared and most likely ran away, Igor Belyakov told a Dumskaya correspondent.

Igor Belyakov said that he was already asleep when the air raid alarm sounded, and explosions were heard in the distance, to which the animals reacted.

“And then I heard the roar of the “shahed”. Closer, closer, closer, and then there was a bang and the roof immediately caught fire. I was in my pajamas, jumped off, ran out into the corridor, where I cut my feet a little because I was barefoot. I grabbed my passports, documents and ran out of the house because there was already a fire,” the zoo director shares his impressions.

His house was completely destroyed, the garage and cars were completely burned out. Belyakov was home alone, his only injuries were slightly cut legs.
