A hellish night in Odesa: a woman died as a result of an attack by the Russian Federation, there are many injured (photo)

High-rise buildings in two residential complexes were damaged, at least 10 cars were destroyed by fire.

On the night of November 9, the Russian occupation army launched another attack on Odesa with Shahed-136 drones, a woman was killed and more than ten others were injured.

As reported in the press service of the Odesa regional prosecutor’s office, the armed forces of the Russian Federation carried out a massive attack with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles in Odesa and the suburbs. As a result of the attack, a local resident died, 13 people were injured, among them two boys aged 4 and 16.

“Information on other victims is being clarified. High-rise buildings in two residential complexes, private houses, warehouses of a private enterprise and cars of citizens were damaged, of which at least 10 cars were completely destroyed by fire,” the report says.

Currently, the survey is ongoing, a complete list of destruction and damage is being established. At the scene of the events, prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement officers, document the consequences of the attack.

An investigation has been launched into the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

As Iryna Kovalenko, the spokeswoman of the Odesa regional prosecutor’s office, told UNIAN, the dead woman, whose age is unknown, was found under the rubble of a destroyed building. Her husband and child are hospitalized.

According to the press service of the mayor’s office, several high-rise buildings and houses in the private sector, as well as administrative buildings, warehouses and cars in one of the city’s districts were damaged during the night as a result of the enemy attack.

As noted by at. Oleksandr Filatov, the mayor of Odesa, in the morning, communal services will start working at the locations, and the city’s operational headquarters will be deployed to help the citizens whose homes were damaged as a result of the attack by the unmanned aerial vehicles.

The regional headquarters of the State Emergency Service added that rescuers, together with volunteers, spent the whole night eliminating the consequences of Russian terror.

“Dozens of cars caught fire. The fire in the warehouse was also extinguished,” the department said.

Psychologists of the State Emergency Service provided assistance to 25 people, including a child. Pyrotechnicians examined the territory for the presence of explosive objects.

According to Oleh Kiper, the head of Odesa OVA, eight victims were hospitalized, others received help on the spot.

As the official clarified, due to the fall of the drone in Avangard, a large-scale fire occurred on the territory of the residential complex. About 15 cars caught fire there, residential buildings were damaged, 5 people were injured, including a child. He also clarified that in Odesa, windows were broken in three buildings of residential high-rise buildings and a private house was destroyed and subsequently caught fire. It was there that the family suffered: the father and 16-year-old son are in the hospital in a moderate condition, and the mother of the teenager died.
