The strike by Ukrainian drones on the Engels airfield near Saratov was very effective, according to satellite images from Maxar, analyzed by the Schema project .
Photos from the American aerospace company Maxar from March 21 clearly show damage to the ammunition depots at Engels-2 airfield. In particular, it is noticeable that large craters from explosions remain on the site of some buildings.
“It was in these warehouses that containers for Kh-101/Kh-555 missiles, which Russia uses to attack Ukraine from Tu-160 and Tu-95 aircraft, were located. It is also likely that a missile pre-flight training center was located there, which was also destroyed,” aviation expert Anatoly Khrapchinsky told Schema.
