On Friday, May 31, a freight train loaded with coal derailed  on the Trans-Baikal Railway in the Amur Region .

As reported in the Telegram channel of the East Siberian Transport Prosecutor’s Office, this happened at about 15:00 on the Ledyanaya-Seletkan stretch, located in the Svobodnensky district. No one was injured, but train service was suspended.

According to Russian media, a total of 29 cars loaded with coal derailed. After the incident, a serious fire started in the Amur region. The distance from the accident site to the nearest populated area is 4 kilometers.
