The population of the city is about 189 thousand people.
In the Russian Orsk (Orenburg region) a dam burst, local authorities began an emergency evacuation of the population.
Due to the flooding, a state of emergency was declared in the region, but only residents of certain streets were evacuated. Local media reported an hour ago that utilities were strengthening the dam. Soon it burst through.
About four thousand private houses may fall into the flood zone. Now people are leaving Leninsky and Sovetsky districts. It is noted that the water is arriving at high speed, and some houses are already flooding.
