In Odesa, they said goodbye to nine military sailors who died as a result of a missile attack on the city on March 6, not far from the place where the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi and the Prime Minister of Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis were. Information about the dead was made public by the veteran organization Veterans Hub Odessa.
It is reported that on March 11, Odesa said goodbye to six military sailors. These are 26-year-old chief petty officer Stanislav Khokhlov and sailor Petro Kornienko, 31-year-old chief petty officer Vyacheslav Vasiliev, 35-year-old junior sergeant Volodymyr Butov. They also said goodbye to 37-year-old senior sailor Yuriy Slepchenko and Andrii Likhno, who was about to turn 28 on March 12.
In addition, it is noted that last weekend they said goodbye to three more victims.
“Odesa said goodbye to the military sailors who died as a result of a missile strike by Russian terrorists on our city,” the message reads.
Petty Officer 2 Mykola Tyagii and sailor Oleksandr Konovalenko (both born in 1985) died, as well as 25-year-old sailor Vitaly Malyutin. The organization published photos of the dead, all of whom have the same date of death – March 6, 2024.
