British aid worker Annie Lewis Murphy was killed in a Russian attack in Donetsk region. Police say her body was left in the fighting zone, making evacuation difficult.

As Censor.NET reports, the Times and Sky News write about this  .

It is known that Annie Lewis Murphy arrived in Ukraine on June 4.

Aid Ukraine, which organised the mission, said Lewis Murphy initially travelled to Poland with a former soldier from Wales. He had frontline experience and was assigned to help the volunteer. However, he fell ill on the way and returned to the UK for treatment.

Lewis Murphy was instructed to hand over the car to Aid Ukraine UK teams in Lviv, but she did not do so, insisting that she would continue on her own to Kramatorsk, where the car was to be delivered.

The organizers had no contact with Lewis Murphy for five days as she did not provide any information about her whereabouts. She last contacted the charity on June 10 and her family on June 8.

The charity Aid Ukraine said the available evidence “1001 percent” confirms Murphy’s death, which is being investigated as a war crime.

According to local police, her body is still in an active combat zone, making evacuation impossible.

Local authorities have yet to issue a death certificate for the volunteer. Lewis Murphy’s children have repeatedly appealed to the Foreign Office for assistance, but have been told that the matter is outside its jurisdiction.

The volunteer’s son, Charlie Lewis Murphy, said the family does not blame anyone for the tragedy, but is “disappointed” by the lack of assistance from the Foreign Ministry.

A Foreign Office spokesman said the department supports the British woman’s family and is in contact with local authorities regarding the situation.
