The President stated that the ideal solution in peace negotiations would be to urgently end the war and take the first step — an unconditional, complete ceasefire.
However, according to him, this process requires guarantors and monitoring. Due to current 20, 30, and 40 km kill zones, Russia could exploit the pause and advance on certain sectors of the front.
Zelenskyy emphasized that a ceasefire requires a meeting at the leadership level — involving Ukraine, Russia, Europe, and the United States.
