On October 31, a 23-year-old servicewoman, senior combat medic of a strike UAV company from Lviv region, Diana Gorun, call sign Marena, was killed in a Russian drone strike in the Donetsk region.

This was reported on the Facebook page of the Hnizdychiv AH,  Censor.NET reports .

What is known?

Diana was born in 2003 in the village of Hnizdychiv, Lviv Oblast. She served in the military under a contract as a senior combat medic in a company of strike drones.

” Diana consciously chose a difficult, dangerous path – to stand up for her native Motherland. She did not stand aside, but took on the responsibility to defend Ukraine, to be with those who face danger every day. She chose as her calling to save the lives of Ukrainian soldiers, help her brothers and sisters and fight for the freedom and independence of our state. Her courage, strength of spirit and big heart were manifested in this choice ,” the message says.

Her life was cut short in the Donetsk region as a result of being hit by a Russian drone.

Diana’s brother wrote on the social network Threads that Diana was ambitious, with a sincere, bright soul.

” She went through some bad times in her life. But despite this, she left hope and positivity in her heart, and she sincerely shared it with those around her.
