Both Putin himself, his relatives, and doctors are worried about the president’s coughing fits, as well as constant nausea and lack of appetite due to medication and a specific diet against the background of oncology. In the past few months, Putin has lost eight kilograms, and those around the president are worried that the thinness and persistent cough that is noticeable in progress will be regarded by the elites as a sign of the leader’s rapidly deteriorating health.
Despite the rest and medical procedures, the president received consistently morning and evening reports, and also took part in two meetings via video link. The subject of discussion was the crash of the SU-30 multirole fighter in Irkutsk on Sunday afternoon. Having received the answer that the probability of sabotage was minimal, Putin began to nervously scold almost all the participants in the meeting, breaking into screams and turning to profanity. Most of all went to the failed “Marshal of Victory” Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. Despite the fact that Shoigu was removed from decision-making in the Ministry of Defense, he still sometimes takes part in meetings with the president. Turning to Shoigu, Putin, with non-trivial expressions and turns of speech, made it clear that he was extremely dissatisfied with the very fact of the existence of Sergei Kozhugetovich in his entourage, the Ministry of Defense and in his field of vision. After Shoigu was disconnected from participating in the video conference, Putin started talking to other representatives of the leadership of the military bloc, but could not continue due to an attack of severe coughing, so much so that the meeting had to be stopped, and the president needed medical help. So, the hour is uneven, the president will break down in public, then there will be no problems.
