2026: more enemies destroyed (video)

01/01/2026

The year that is coming to an end today was not counted in calendar days. For us, it was measured in the number of shots fired, the accuracy of hits, kilometers of roads. Hours of waiting, minutes of evacuation, seconds of rescue. Statistics of enemy losses and the pain of our own losses. The joy of meetings and the longing for farewells. The difficult decisions and their consequences. The efforts, courage, endurance, and dedication of everyone who has the honor and responsibility to be called a Marine.

2025 was a difficult year, full of both successes and challenges. The brigade met it on the Kursk salient, where the soldiers of the legendary 36th carried out risky and daring operations, beating the enemy on its own territory. After completing tasks in the Sumy region, the marines rushed without a break to one of the most difficult sections of the Donetsk front. And now the brigade’s units are repelling the Russian occupiers on the approaches to Kostyantynivka, defending the strategically important agglomeration of the Ukrainian Donbas.

We will meet 2026 where the sun rises in Ukraine. Not in celebrations, but in battles. Once again, not having the opportunity to be at home with our relatives, but without losing sight of the main moral guideline: we have no right to lose this war. After all, the future of the country, the nation, and our children depends on it.

There is much work ahead, both on and off the front lines – caring for our brothers and sisters who need our help, and bringing home captured Marines. We move forward. With gratitude to all who stand shoulder to shoulder, with respect for the families of our soldiers, and with honor for the memory of our fallen heroes.

In the New Year – only more destroyed enemies! Glory to the 36th Separate Marine Brigade! Glory to Ukraine!

unit commander, Colonel Oleksandr Tonenchuk
