17 Patriot air defense systems prepared for shipment to Ukraine, some of them will arrive in coming days – Trump

Seventeen MIM-104 Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems are being prepared for shipment to Ukraine. Some of them will be delivered in the coming days.

US President Donald Trump stated this during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, his words are quoted by Ukrainian Pravda.

“This is Patriot, this is all necessary. They will arrive in Ukraine very soon. Some will arrive in a few days,” Trump said.

He did not specify whether we are talking about air defense systems that are in service with the US army or the armed forces of US allied countries.

Trump also did not say anything about interceptor missiles for Patriot complexes, a shortage of which the Ukrainian military is experiencing.

Recall that earlier today, July 14, Trump publicly stated that the United States is preparing to send air defense equipment to Ukraine. He hinted at the MIM-104 Patriot systems, but did not specify whether they were anti-aircraft missile systems or just missiles for them.

Last week, The Wall Street Journal wrote, citing its own sources, that Trump is considering transferring another Patriot air defense system to Ukraine.

And on July 8, Trump said, amid Russian air attacks, that the United States would immediately send Ukraine 10 interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, also today, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that Berlin is negotiating with Washington about purchasing two Patriot air defense systems for Ukraine.

Earlier, it became known that Trump is putting pressure on the German leadership to give Ukraine another Patriot air defense system.

  1. It’s beautiful to finally see Putin’s Titanic sink. It’s moments like these when i’m proud to be Republican, American and part of the Ukrainian cause. Many will lock their windows now in Moscow! 🤣
