Former Minister of Economic Development, Trade, and Agriculture of Ukraine Dr. Tymofiy Mylovanov is a distinguished economist with a robust background in academia, government, and policy.
He currently serves as the President of the Kyiv School of Economics and an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Pittsburgh.
His expertise lies in game theory, contract theory, and institutional design, with his research published in leading journals such as Econometrica and American Economic Review.

Ukrainian soldiers rinsed their mouths with water from a fire extinguisher and ate rations they took off the Russians they killed to survive in the encirclement.
Russians poisoned them with gas, thinking these were elite forces. Ukrainians held their position for 109 days.
Anton, one of the Ukrainian soldiers: My neck, arms and back started burning. I jumped out with my rifle and saw a drone. I started shooting, tears streaming.
The grenade was self-made. Chlorine-based powder inside. It smells of acid, eats through everything.
Anton: We filtered mud, we used water from fire extinguishers to rinse our mouths, but it tasted of ammonia. We couldn’t drink it because it’s acid.
We drank saline, and by radio, guys at other positions said they were drinking chlorhexidine.
Anton: Igor had an idea: “Let’s do video surveillance with FPV.”
We covered the entire perimeter with cameras through the Chuyka device, intercepted enemy radios, and relayed troop movements to others after our own communication went down.
Anton: We hunted pheasants, and not only. When we killed Russian soldier we would go through his backpack.
Their Snickers taste better than ours. We were happy to find something like that, our morale went up.

Fire Point’s Flamingo cruise missile reaches twice as far as the Tomahawk and carries a larger payload at half the cost. Its wings are filled with Styrofoam.

Shtilerman’s past: studied in Russia, worked for the Moscow defense institute that produces Putin’s nuclear briefcase, spent time in two Russian jails.
His company got mixed up in one of Ukraine’s worst corruption scandals last year. NABU confirmed in May he is not a suspect.

“Drones have enabled Ukraine to kill 3 to 4 Russian soldiers for every Ukrainian fatality. If Putin ordered a mass mobilization, Ukraine would need to kill up to 8 to 10 Russians for every Ukrainian killed”, – Maria Berlinska, a Ukrainian drone pioneer for NYT.
Berlinska: “Drones hold the front. They won’t win the war”.
She brought together military, intelligence and civilian experts to plan psychological operations against Russia. The goal is to weaken support for the war and make a future mobilization harder.
Berlinska founded Victory Drones, which trained thousands of drone pilots and helped build Ukraine’s defence tech industry.
She has now launched Victory Neurones to fight Russia in the cognitive domain.
Russia targeted Ukrainian minds before it launched its full-scale invasion.
Before seizing Crimea, Moscow ran cyberattacks and information campaigns to divide Ukrainian society. Since 2022, it has used the same tactics to weaken military recruitment and support for the war.
Fedorov: We know how to counter Russian ballistic missiles and guided aerial bombs.
All that is left is to catch up with them in the information war, where Russia is No. 1 in the world.

109 Days in Hell: How Ukrainian Soldiers Survived Encirclement with No Water Under Gas Attacks
Soldiers of the 108th Territorial Defense Brigade spent 109 days on their positions.
While other units were rotated, this group could not be evacuated due to complex logistics. To survive in encirclement, the servicemen filtered rainwater and took rations from eliminated Russian soldiers.
The occupiers poisoned them with gas, believing that elite special forces were holding the position.
We learned about this story from Liubov, the wife of soldier Anton. Look at how his appearance changed between the 70th and 109th day on position.
It was the wife’s public struggle that helped secure the order for a grueling three-day retreat under heavy shelling. Currently, Liubov is waiting for the investigation results from the military ombudsperson, Olha Reshetylova.
