👉Those who refuse to abandon their language or study under the Ukrainian system are 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗻, 𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗽𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗰 𝗱𝗿𝘂𝗴𝘀.

The occupiers are 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 and documents on Ukrainian children. They are 𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗨𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻, 𝗰𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, and 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 — where 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗼, and 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗺 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗺𝘆.

👉During lessons, a so-called “hero of the special military operation” may visit — and children are expected to 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝗵𝗶𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗼.

“It’s a kind of 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘀𝗶-𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘀𝗶-𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆, 𝗮 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘀𝗶-𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, 𝗮 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝘀𝗶-𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 — 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆.”

👉Official Ukrainian sources report that children who disobey — for example, insisting on #speaking Ukrainian or refusing to comply with imposed educational rules — are subject to beatings, isolation, and forced administration of #psychotropic drugs.

The United Nations and OHCHR have #documented arbitrary detention, #torture, and other ill-treatment of children in occupied territories and in settings under Russian control. #Filtration camps (used by Russian forces) are reported to #separate children from parents, interrogate them, or send them away to places in Russia.

Since the full-scale invasion, Ukraine has officially documented more than 19,500 minors have been deported by Russia. Reports suggest the actual number may be much higher, potentially #hundreds of #thousands, according to NGOs and academic institutions.

Children are placed into re-education programs, summer camps, or institutions aimed at #erasing Ukrainian identity and inculcating Russian patriotic and military ideologies. Some children have been granted Russian citizenship and #adopted by Russian families, making reunification more difficult.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued arrest warrants for President Putin and Russia’s commissioner for children (Maria Lvova-Belova) for alleged war crimes involving deportation and forced transfers of children.

𝗔𝗽𝘁𝗶 𝗕𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘃 — born in 1959 in the village of 𝗚𝗼𝘆-𝗖𝗵𝘂 near Urus-Martan in Chechnya — is one of the 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 of Chechen literature. He studied philology in Grozny, worked as an 𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿, 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿, and 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿, and later joined the 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, even serving as 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗿 in the de facto government of Ichkeria.
Since 2002, he has lived 𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻.

In March 2000, during the 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗞𝗼𝗺𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗹𝘀𝗸𝗼𝘆𝗲 (𝗦𝗮𝗮𝗱𝗶-𝗞𝗼𝘁𝗮𝗿), 🇷🇺 federal forces 𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗱 𝘀𝗶𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗚𝗼𝘆-𝗖𝗵𝘂 and the surrounding villages.
The assault took weeks — and the aftermath was devastating:

👉The village and surrounding areas were 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗱 and 𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝗸, leaving few intact buildings.
👉Many 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱. Some who surrendered were never accounted for.
👉Witnesses reported 𝗺𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 — 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀, 𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗲𝘀, 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱; 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗱.
👉Reports also speak of 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻, and houses being 𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗲𝗱 in “mop-up” operations.
👉Local 𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀, and 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀 were destroyed or defaced — 𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀.

𝗕𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘃, 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲, recounts how after the troops captured his native village they 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱, 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗱, and even 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 — the 𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝘆 became part of the violence.

This wasn’t an 𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆.
Across Chechnya during and after 2000, investigators discovered 𝘂𝗻𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀, bodies showing signs of 𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, and countless victims who “𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱” 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

And today, Ukraine faces the same hand of destruction.

•Background: After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Chechnya declared independence (as the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria). russia invaded to regain control. 👇Key events: •Massive bombardments of Grozny (1994–1995) — the city was nearly destroyed. •Tens of thousands of civilians were killed. •Both sides committed war crimes. Outcome: •Chechen forces pushed russian troops out in 1996.
•The Khasavyurt Accord ended the war and granted de facto independence to Chechnya.

📌Second Chechen War (1999 – 2009)
•Start: August 1999
•End: Officially 2009 (though active fighting largely ended by 2003).
•Background: russia used a series of apartment bombings (widely believed to be FSB-orchestrated) and incursions into Dagestan as a pretext for a new invasion. 👇Key events: •Total destruction of Grozny (1999–2000) — later described by the UN as the most destroyed city on Earth. •Massacres in Novye Aldi, Komsomolskoye, Staropromyslovsky District, and other towns. •Use of filtration camps, disappearances, torture, and executions. 👇Outcome: •By 2000, russia re-#established control.
