The president says intelligence provided the relevant information.

The Russians plan to continue strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in an evening video address.

“Intelligence provides relevant information. Therefore, everyone whose job, whose service is to protect Ukraine from attacks, must be focused in the spring, as well as in the winter. We must respond to every threat and shoot down Russian targets, as much as possible,” he emphasized.

According to him, Ukraine managed to get through the most difficult winter of all the years of the war, which the Russians wanted to turn “into the destruction of Ukraine and Ukrainians.” 

“But Ukraine did not break. We preserved our energy system. Ukraine has repelled a large number of massive strikes this winter, when in one strike there were dozens of missiles, hundreds of “shaheeds”,” the president said.Read also:

He recalled that the occupiers carried out one of the largest strikes this winter on December 6, using over seven hundred different targets, including more than fifty missiles alone. 

“I am grateful to everyone who protects and restores our energy sector: to all employees of energy companies, to every repair and emergency crew, to the entire staff of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine – you are truly heroes,” Zelenskyy said.

He also thanked Ukrainian soldiers, developers, manufacturers and operators of interceptors, utilities, and local and regional authorities.

“I especially want to note Ukrainian entrepreneurs, every business in Ukraine – both small and large – that was able to adapt to these conditions, kept their jobs, got through this winter and are working in Ukraine. It is extremely important that we continue to be resilient,” the president added
