Zelenskyy confirms that partners asked not to hit russian oil terminals

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed during a conversation with journalists that his partners asked Ukraine not to strike at the oil infrastructure of the aggressor country russia while the war in the Middle East continues. It was reported by the Ukrinform edition.

“I won’t say who asked us to do this. But our partners asked, it’s a fact. They asked at different levels: from the political to the military leadership. During the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, our partners sent different signals to certain countries on which something depends. Some were asked to increase production, others to increase transit opportunities, and we were asked to reduce our strikes, that is, our response to Russian attacks. Because they believed that this would have an impact on energy prices,” he said.

At the same time, Zelenskyy emphasized that in his opinion, russian oil does not have a significant impact on the world market.

“And I said it frankly,” the head of state added.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported with reference to the British newspaper The Telegraph, Ukraine continues to ignore calls from foreign partners to stop attacks on russian energy facilities, despite fears of a deepening global oil and gas crisis.

Meanwhile the port of Novorossiysk in the Krasnodar Krai of the russian aggressor country has resumed shipments of oil and oil products through the Shekhsaris terminal, which was attacked by drones on the evening of Sunday, April 5.

Reuters reported this, citing its own sources on Friday, April 10.
