Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Western guarantees to Ukraine should include the transfer of nuclear weapons to it.
“Everyone says that Ukraine will not win this war, because the Russian Federation is a nuclear power. So tell me, what security guarantees do you think Ukraine should have? NATO? Nuclear weapons? Well, then we need them to say to us: ‘We will give you NATO and we will give you nuclear weapons.’ But so far, no one has raised the issue,” he said in an interview with Le Monde .
In his opinion, all of Europe, not just Ukraine, needs to mobilize, because the war in the Middle East is distracting.
“We do not want our territory to be occupied again. Donbas is our defensive lines and fortifications that have been built for years. If we leave these areas, it will open the way to a quick occupation. The US says: ‘Leave Donbass, and we will provide security guarantees.’ But our fortifications are security guarantees. We cannot exchange real guarantees created by our army for other promises,” Zelenskyy said.
According to him, he no longer wants to speak publicly about how he sees Ukraine’s victory:
“But we must preserve our independence, freedom of choice, and our state. This will be the basis of a just peace.”
Nuclear weapons for Ukraine

Bingo! Its finally back on the table. IMO this is the result of the John Major/Bill Clinton Budapest Memorandum and not getting this agreement ratified. Then the betrayal by Cameron/Obama in 2014. The only “just” peace would be to return to 1994 though without the nukes, bombers and missiles we were forced to give to our 300-year enemy. Now there will be no surprises when Ukraine returns to their nuclear weapons programs and continues to protect Europe from the Moskali savages. Slava Ukraini!
