The consequence of such a decision could be an increase in the number of “Shaheeds”, including in Iran, the president noted.

Due to the temporary easing of sanctions against Russia by the United States, Moscow may receive an additional $10 billion for the war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said during a joint briefing with French President Emmanuel Macron.

“I believe that lifting sanctions will strengthen Russia’s position. It spends money from the sale of energy resources on weapons. And then all this flies against us. We hear signals that this is in order to stabilize the situation. But in my opinion, the logic is completely different,” Zelensky said.

He added that the Russian Federation is spending this money on weapons, primarily UAVs, which are massively attacking Ukraine.

“And as we see from intelligence reports, these same drones are also being used against Iran’s neighbors, as well as Europeans and Americans. Therefore, lifting sanctions so that more drones can come flying at you later is, in my opinion, not the right decision,” the president said.
