Everything points to the fact that the drone strike at the Russian airfield ” Engels ” on March 20 hit a warehouse with cruise missiles Kh-555 and Kh-101 for Tu-95 and Tu-160 bombers.

This is reported by Defense Express , citing a video from the scene that captured a powerful secondary detonation of ammunition.

It is noted that the fact of the detonation was confirmed by Russian authorities, and a number of OSINT communities managed to localize the explosion site. Some pointed to a warehouse with ammunition, others – to a storage site for fuel and lubricants.

“The video shows small arms ammunition continuing to explode, apparently for aircraft guns. That is, this indicates that the ammunition depot was damaged, not the fuel depot. Another video indicates an explosive detonation, which is not typical for fires in fuel tanks. That is, everything indicates that the detonation occurred at the depot for aviation ammunition for strategic aviation,” the publication says.
