Ukrainian forces continue deep strikes into Russian territory, targeting oil depots and refineries, inflicting significant economic damage on Russia’s energy infrastructure. In 2025 alone, around 120 attacks on Russian energy facilities were carried out, with damages estimated at over a trillion rubles.
Meanwhile, the front line remains challenging: Russian troops are attempting advances in the Pokrovsk, Kostyantynivka, and Siversk-Lyman directions, suffering heavy losses. Estimates suggest every kilometer of captured Ukrainian land costs Russia hundreds of troops killed and wounded.
At the Munich Security Conference, Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that territorial concessions won’t bring peace, and Ukraine is only open to a fair deal with security guarantees. Despite talks of Geneva negotiations, Russia continues shelling Ukrainian cities, pairing attacks with diplomatic statements.
