US senators introduce resolution calling for return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia before peace deal is reached

A bipartisan group of US senators has introduced a resolution calling for the return of all Ukrainian children abducted by Russia before any peace agreement is concluded to end Russia’s war against Ukraine.

This is stated on the website  of Republican Senator Chuck Grassley, who is one of the initiators of the resolution, Censor.NET reports.

The resolution was led by Republican Senator Chuck Grassley and Democratic Senator Amy Klobuchar. It was also joined by Republican Senators Roger Wicker, Joni Ernst and Rick Scott, and Democrats Dick Durbin and John Fetterman.

The document condemns the abduction and forced displacement of Ukrainian children by Russia.

“Putin’s inhumane and unprovoked attack on Ukraine has started the largest war in Europe since World War II. He has kidnapped thousands of children to brainwash and Russify them in an attempt to destroy their cultural identity and heritage. The United States should demand the return of these children before signing an agreement to end the war in Ukraine,” Grassley said.

“The mass abduction of Ukrainian children by Russia is horrific. We cannot accept a world where children are abducted during war and used as a form of hostage-taking for negotiations. These children must be returned before any peace agreement can be reached,” Klobuchar said.

  1. This is good, but if it takes as long to implement as the Lindsay Graham sanctions, it’ll never happen.

  2. There’s those MAGA nuts trying to help get Ukrainian children out of ruSSian captivity, and get them returned to their families…….oh wait……….

    • Senator Roger Wicker isn’t remotely a MAGA nut. I’m not a big fan of Joni Ernst, but she is a retired military officer. Rick Scott is a Navy veteran, however I’m turned off by his work with the firm Johnson & Swanson as well as his work in the healthcare industry.
